I was born on the Northumberland coast but have lived in the South East for the majority of my life.
I’ve been painting for many years starting out in watercolour which I mistakenly thought would be the easiest medium to work in – I now know better! I have since added pastel, acrylic and pen and ink to the mediums I work in and have recently discovered oils although I have yet to tackle them properly.
I’m still inspired by the long beaches and sand dunes of my birth place and have painted many versions of Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle.
I have been an active member of Stevenage Art Society since 2000 and have been Vice Chairman for the last couple of years. I am also a Professional Associate member of the Society for All Artists you can see my profile on their site here.
I exhibit my paintings in Stevenage Art Society’s three exhibitions per year. I also exhibit in other local “open” exhibitions from time to time and take commissions.
